Panayiotis A. Koutentis, PhD (DIC), BSc (ARCS), CSci, CChem, FRSC

Associate Professor in Organic Chemistry Department of Chemistry,
University of Cyprus, Nicosia,

Four areas of interest are currently under investigation. 1) The synthesis and reactivity of novel and unusual S,N-heterocyclic compounds; 2) The design and synthesis of organic magnets based on radical and diradical polyazaheterocyclic systems; 3) The design and synthesis of novel conjugated and non conjugated polymers; 4) The design and synthesis of biologically active heteroarenes.

He has ca. 80 Publications and 4 Book Chapters on sulfur nitrogen heterocycles (Thiazoles, 1,2,5-Thiadiazoles and 1,3,4-Thiadiazoles).
