Note: The imprint is obtained by the co-polymerization of functional and cross-linking monomers in the
presence of a template molecule (the analyte) and a porogen. The resultant imprint possesses a steric
(size and shape) and chemical (spatial arrangement of complementary functional groups) mem- ory of
the template molecule that enable the sorbent to selectively rebind the template molecule from a
complex matrix.
